Strengthening Economic Systems Across Africa

Founded in Ethiopia, with offices in Kenya and Rwanda, FC Africa is a pan-African organization delivering complex economic development programs across Africa. Established in 2006, FC Africa has grown into a trusted partner for governments, development partners, financial institutions, and the private sector.

FC Africa operates as a systems-based and data-driven organization, focused on building durable institutional capacity and delivering results at scale. Our credibility is grounded in experience, execution discipline, and long-term partnerships built on trust and performance.

What We Do

FC Africa works at the intersection of access to finance, workforce development, MSME support, blended finance, and the application of data and AI to economic development. Our work focuses on strengthening systems, aligning incentives, and enabling sustainable outcomes across public and private sectors.

We work with governments and partners to design and implement programs that expand financial access, improve labor market outcomes, and strengthen enterprise ecosystems. Increasingly, we integrate digital tools, data systems, and AI-enabled approaches to improve targeting, efficiency, and accountability.

How We Work

We structure development as a coordinated investment across institutions and stakeholders. We do this by aligning incentives, pooling resources, and blending financial and technical capabilities. We support implementation models that are scalable, efficient, and designed with transition in mind.

FC Africa places a strong emphasis on quality delivery, internal accountability, and learning. We invest in systems, data, and performance management to ensure that decisions are informed, execution is disciplined, and results are measurable.

Organizational Capabilities

FC Africa Development

Our non-profit arm delivers programs through grants, guarantees, and technical assistance, working closely with governments, financial institutions, and delivery partners to strengthen economic systems and expand access to opportunity.

FC Africa Investment

Our investment function mobilizes development finance and blended capital to support scalable economic initiatives. As part of this effort, we are establishing First Addis Investment Bank to further bridge finance and development in African markets.

FC Africa Advisory

Our advisory practice provides research, analysis, and strategy development in close collaboration with partners, supporting evidence-based decision-making and program design.

Our Footprint

In 2025, FC Africa took a bold step in its regional expansion by opening offices in Nairobi, Kenya, and Kigali, Rwanda, marking its official entry into East Africa. This milestone is part of a broader strategy to build strong networks and deepen collaboration across Africa and beyond.

FC Africa continues to maintain a strong national presence through its main office in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, supported by six field hubs and eleven satellite offices. With active operations in over 17 cities and towns across the country, FC remains deeply rooted in local ecosystems while steadily expanding its continental footprint.
